Seat comfort 2SS versus 1LE for daily driving

Setting aside the heated and cooled features, which seat is more comfortable
  • daily driving
  • long trips
  • what is your size?

I have the 2SS and just took a 500 mile road trip. I had zero issues with the seats. I'm a small guy and found the seats to be very comfortable and supportive.

2SS took a 1152 mile trip (Delivery trip) from Rodgers Chevrolet to my home in Orlando, FL 19 hours non-stop (well stops for gas, food, and bathroom break) absolutely comfortable no issues much better than my 2010 Camaro seats.

Out of curiosity why did you go so far to get your 2ss? I live in Orlando too

I have the 2ss seats. Totally fine in daily driving and long trips. Fairly obvious that they are more comfortable for normal driving. Plus they also have heating and cooling which is a huge benefit.

I find both to be comfortable, the Recaros hold you better in the corners though. I am 5'10" 175

I'm a chubbier guy, 5'10" 275 and the 2SS seats are great. Much more comfy than the C7 2LT seats. A tab bit more cushion and a tad bit more room.

I did about 800 miles the weekend I picked up my car, nary a complaint.

Honestly one huge point that made me go 2ss over holding out for the 1le (before they were in production) . South La track days will be much nicer without swamp ass.

Minor but technical point, they are not "cooled" seats. They are ventilated. They just have fans to move air around. If you have the AC blowing max on the footwells that air can get pushed around and feel cool, depending on interior temps.

That said, they are much better than the ones in a C7, heated seats work better too.

1LE Recaro's
6 ft, 250lbs
I like them - see road trip review of them here:

http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=497137

If you are thinking of getting a 1LE but are unsure due to the seats - don't let that be the decisive factor - unless you are fatter than me, then maybe.

5'7" 300 lbs (fat but have decent muscle)

2SS seats are fantastic and fit me just fine. Being that they're leather, you also get to slide in and out of them.

Purchased from Becky D @ Rodgers Chevrolet got a great deal plus she is a friend and it was by far the best buying experience I have ever had buying a car. I will be going back to buy my other vehicles from her no need to mess with the Orlando dealerships anymore.

I found both to be comfortable for me, but liked the feel of the Recaro's a bit more. The only downside to Recaro's is getting in and out over their high bolsters, but for the track this is what you want. 5' 10" 170 lbs.
