20% off tags
Does anyone remember what month they rolled out the 20% off tags last year? Hoping they follow that trend with the 17's, just trying to find out when I should start shopping.

July or August is when they started to do 16% and then it ramped up to 20% in September/October. I don't remember exactly when though.

Can 20% off tags/MSRP, whatever they call it... be combined with GM Supplier/Educator discount?

No. 20% off is a standalone program, doesn't stack with any Employee or Supplier type programs.

Last year at this time there were 3 shifts pumping out Camaros, the lots at the assembly plant was crowded with thousands of 2016 Camaros. This summer, 2 shifts of people producing them with scheduled layoff time. The assembly plant lots pretty much empty. Don't plan on big rebates to happen like last year.

But 15% lower volume than last year, leaving Europe etc.. I guess they need to play that game very carefully. |

What kind of deals are we looking at probably getting by the end of the year. What kind of price should we expect to pay for a new 2017 2ss by say October or a 2018 2ss by december. Any good deals to look forward to or not. Like does any one know what deals are normal for camaro for example did 2014, 2015 have good year end sales?

Should we expect 17% in a month or so? I have been seeing the equinox and silverado and malibu and sonic (basically every model except camaro) at 17% off the last couple of months for the 2017 models. I doubt the plant has thousands of those just sitting around. But I could be wrong.

Hate to bump an old thread but I have a question about how 20% off tags work. I'm looking at a 2ss that's marked at $43k but the msrp is 50k. How does the 20% come into play with these two numbers?
I'm hoping we get 20% off for Labor Day but even if I have to wait I want to know how this works. |

It should be 20% off the original msrp, so $40000. But the dealer gets all that back in rebates from chevy so you can still further negotiate them down. If they are will to take 7k off right now before the 20% I'm sure you can talk them down to taking 7k off with the 20%.
