Wear & tear feedback *daily drivers & track rats

I was hoping to get some feedback & ideas from everyone with multiple track days adding up and daily drivers. Perhaps start a sticky for 1LE owners

Hoping to find what to look for / prevent / expect as far as wear and tear squeaks, faults, etc.

As of today my car has 3000 miles, 1 track day. Feels almost like new. Lol only thing I noticed is the turn signal levers arent as crisp and firm as 3 Miles on the odometer.

Driving home from trackday my car actually developed a horrendous squeak behind the dashboard. Every single bump in the road it creeked LOUDLY. But actually after 48 hours the squeaks went away and only come back with HUGE humps and bumps in the road . So possibly it was heat soak in the firewall or dash from time on track leading to plastic expanding etc

What has everyone else noticed so far now some of us are adding up miles and track days.. what to look for ??

Only regular SS- 10,000 miles and 8 days at the track. So far just brake pads and stock tires that are on their death bed.

My dash actually creaks and groans LESS than it did before, now at 5k...

But that was likely because it was such a bad and colder-than-normal winter here in the PNW - We rarely see below 35 degrees outside (or 30-31 overnight), and in November I picked up the car from the dealer (new) on a day that was a HIGH of 22, overnight low was like 17 or something. There were many many more cold(er) days that followed.

However now that it's been above 45 pretty often, the car's been solid - and I kinda figured it would be.

5,600 miles, 2 motors, and 12 track days with a few more soon. It needs front brake pads but no rattles yet. New front tires SOON too.

6,500 miles, 6 track days, ~75 AutoX runs, half-way through my 2nd set of tires.

The only thing I have noticed is the a-pillar trim on the passenger side keeps coming loose.

This car makes me seek out every event I can possibly fit in my schedule. From mid-Jan to 1st of May I was at the track or AutoX every weekend.

10,200 miles as of today on my 1LE. So far, 4 track days and about 60+ runs on various AutoX courses including another this weekend where I'll get 8 runs. Other than upgrading pads, tires, and fluid I have zero rattles or complaints. The trans is starting to feel less notchy but I don't think I'd put that in the "con" category.

How does the suede material on the 1LE seats, shifter, and steering wheel hold up after a few thousand miles?

This video about how the Alcantara material on a Porsche wears is a bit scary. But I'm guessing the 1LE material is not Alcantara, is that correct?

I have Alcantera steering wheels and shift knobs in my ZL1 and Z51 Corvette. Yes, they will get matted down from use and hand oils. Which is what it looks like on the Porsche. The Alcantera can be quickly brought back to original. "MR. Wyndham" posted an easy remedy a while ago and I have used it several times. Take a damp microfiber towel and rub the Alcantera until it pops back up and let it air dry. It has worked every time. There are specific cleaners for this but the damp cloth has worked well for me. My wheels are black and I used a black cloth so that it would not leave a different color cloth residue behind.

Alcantera is used in many high end cars including F1 as he stated. I don't believe it is just to make extra money.

A slightly damp cloth works but what has worked best for me on various cars has been a very soft bristle brush that lifts the fibers of the suede without having to get it wet every time you want to clean it. I believe Adams Polishes sells one specifically for this purpose but you can find them lots of places online.

Racing Brake, a forum vendor here made them after I could not find anything but OEM. They are amazing. I needed a design to keep the heat in check as I was running way too hot. Their track pads are the best I've used to date also.
