AWE Tuning
As a former Audi driver, I've bought products from awe-tuning.com, including a valved exhaust for my RS4 and they were great. They have now gotten into domestic cars with the Mustang and are looking at other US cars to get into. They are a reputable tuner with proven results in Audi Porsche and others. They focus on specific models and do not drone, rather than blowing out exhausts for anything with an engine.
I encourage anyone interested in helping the Camaro community break out of the space we are in to look at this company and email/call them to ask them to develop a Camaro exhaust. We deserve more and better options than what we currently have. It's truly disappointing when looking at the exhaust options for this car. |

As an owner of a 2016 Audi SQ5 who has looked at a AWE tuning option, no way Camaro owners are going to pay $1500 for a AWE tune or $2k for their cat-back exhaust systems. Sure I did on our SQ5 because there are only 2 people who tune Audi's, but there are tones of people who tune GM vehicles using HP Tuners and EFiLive.
To be honest the quality of the AWE Touring system I have on our SQ5 is no better than any other cat-back system I have used over the years. If anything AWE has been somewhat a pain to deal with on some issues with the black coated tips I paid extra for in that they cant get a set that the coating lasts longer than 2 months before it flakes off. Their only answer was to swap me out for chrome ones and then fight me for a refund on the up charge for the black ones. |

Their mustang exhausts are at the same price levels as all of these here. I've never had a problem with them. I'm sure many have had problems with every business in existence.

AWE is a great choice if you want aggressive non drone sound
Just installed the AWE Touring, and it is has a superior "aggressive"sound compared with the stock NPP system. Yea, I know, many would say why switch on a $900 NPP option? A) it came with the car I purchased on lot. B) I always drive in sport or track mode to get a more aggressive sound. Price point is also competitive at $1,245 and the quality equal or better than the B, C, MF, ect. The fit, installation and packaging are second to none, (I know the competition does a good job as well based on posts I read, there simply were no issues)! 4.5" Black diamond tips are a big bonus as well!
I highly recommend Matt at Wildhammer Motorsports: https://wildhammermotorsports.com/ca...st-awe-tuning/ |

I remember when I have my previous car (mk7 golf r) and saw the prices on their cat backs. While they are nice (the switch path was a good idea), I could never justify spending that much on an exhaust. I was always told it was the German car tax and all of that....and here we are now.
Just watched their video for their exhausts on the camaro, and they do sound good. Quite a bit of money for bent pipes, but that’s just my opinion. |

Those that want a quality system & can afford it will buy the higher end systems.
This is the same for just about every product on the market so...

A jig is created and prototypes are usually sent out to their manufacturer. Another prototype is sent back, test fitted and if it meets expeditions an order is placed. Many, many exhaust companies do this and can charge whatever they want for it, if people believe they are getting a quality product they will pay more for it. It’s almost like auto detailing products, most of them are just rebottled from a manufacturer and sold at higher costs based on their packaging. |

They also make all their own fixtures and do all the manufacturing in house. They have multiple mandrel benders, laser scan tool for CAD, robotic cutting cells, they also make their own mufflers. They don’t outsource or skimp on the design, I’m sure their overhead is quite high, but they seem to use it efficiently as possible. Check out their online headquarters tour, these guys are the real deal, imo. |

Sorry not sorry this couldn’t be farther from the fact as the welds, fitment & a other factors are at play with exhaust but hey if it makes people feel better to defend their muffler shop exhaust systems whatever...
