My custom H-Pipe
Just picked up my vehicle yesterday from Classic Car Studio here in St. Louis. I had them straight pipe through my factory X section and then fab a custom oval shaped H just behind it. As you can see it was TIG welded quite nicely and sounds amazing!! The shop does serious quality work and has a series of shows about it airing on Velocity staring this Wed.

I was shooting for something similar to my buddies '15 Z/28 which has a factory H-Pipe and a deeper tone. It eliminated some of the rasp from my Atak cans, which is great. Currently it sounds like a bit of a hybrid of what my car used to sound like and what his does. Definitely deeper but a little less straight muscle car sound, still has an exotic edge to it. My H-pipe is much further back and my connection pipe is quite a bit larger than his so I anticipated it sounding different. I'm VERY pleased with it and will post some audio soon.

That is my hope. An H pipe is usually deeper than an X pipe.

It is definitely deeper in tone. I'm out of town until the middle of next week. I'll post some sound clips then.
