I had serious doubts about how quick this car could be completely stock...down to the tires. Well what can I say...on only the second pass...

I'd say you're off to a good start. A 130 trap speed in the 1/4 should be good for some nice 10's with good bite.

Capitol raceway in Md. Da was around 500'. I dropped tire pressure to 27 psi. I did a 5 to 7 second burnout and did the best I could launching the car without computer intervention. I stalled it up to around 1209 rpms, then slowly released the brake. Once I detected no tire slip, went straight to the floor. As they say, the rest is history.

Nice, I used to race that track back in the 80's. I lived in Laurel. Were u in touring mode? Shiting auto or did u shift?

I was in race mode. Because of the amount of cars there, I didn't have many chances to experiment. Maybe the next time...

Thanks fellas. I really didn't know how I would overcome the tm, seeing how much it was affecting everyone else's time. Though I like the computer aids, I'm old school. Since I didn't get a stick car, I liked the fact that I could really drive the car to its potential before the computer government stepped in. Lol

so just a little throttle and brake at the same time and a easy launch. I would think that a 1.75 60' is pretty tame. Imagine cutting that down to 1.6 or lower with drag radials.
