Crossing the border...
Will the 2SS Nav system know when I changed countries and allow me to map addresses in the US?
I tried some generic addresses - it found nothing in the US - will it detect my location and give me US addresses ? Yea, Im in Canada, but going south Sunday.

Don't have the factory nav, but the Android Auto worked for me when I drove to Mexico. If your cell phone service provider is decent with their roaming rates (I have free roaming) you could probably get by with that if the nav doesn't work for you.

What about the OnStar internet when you cross the border? Will it still work in the US just like it works in Canada?
The NAV system should have preloaded maps for Canada and US, I am not sure about Mexico though.

v.2017 of MyLink v2.5 NavDisc covers US/Canada/Mexico in the same load. Not sure why you cannot pull up addresses in the US. Did you try something close like a house or business in Buffalo?

Well, mystery solved. When I got close to the border it started showing the US roads across the bridge- and Ive been south all week and its perfect. I assume it was designed that way to create simpler searches by avoiding a country when not needed.
