DA strikes again

Well DA got me yesterday too. Was hoping for high 11's with the switch to lightweight wheels and Roto-fab. I know the intake does not amount to much. Best before on stock tires was 12.214 on a much cooler October day. DA yesterday was 2505 at Byron. I only picked up a little, 12.101.

No issues with tire slip, they hooked fine. Only got three runs, two big oil downs and a lot of cars did not allow for many runs. Also, these are the normal fitment Racestars with 275/50/R17's and the car is lowered, no rub on the quarter. If you are lowered more than the BMR springs lower the car then it may rub.

I used the off idle smash and got two 12.10's, tried a little preload on the last one and only got a 12.15. The air was even worse on that run though.

It will be next fall before any of us see good times again. I'm just working on the tree right now trying not to be late which I was yesterday and also broke out on my dial in. I'm hoping I do pick up some once I get my Meth Kit installed this week. I'm waiting on my drive on lift so I can work under the car easier.

Yep, the stock wheels go back on today. I won't run again until October.

I am have been looking to break into the 11s as well. I was out Friday night best pass was 12.17, DA around was 2,400, only mods are racestars and DRs in the back. Unfortunately a good DA for my local track would be 1,600. Been debating what I mods I can add to get into the 11s. (headers, rotofab,?) Don't want to do too much now because when I park it next winter I am planning on adding a supercharger but would like to get into the 11s before I do.

You guys that are on the edge of running 11's and need that small nudge could try dropping weight. Front pass seat, back seat, and winshield washer fluid add up to 90+ lbs.

The best part is......it's a free mod.

Good luck gents and rip it up !!!

Good input, that is what I am doing right now being on the jagged edge, weight is the only option. Saved 100 lbs on wheels and tires.
