UPDATE: Rear brakes maintenance after 13500 miles?

UPDATE:
Here is an update. I just got a brake maintenance (not from GM) and I still have the issue. The clicking sound comes from the front 6-Pistons Brembo (I have upgraded brembo on my 2SS), it's the pad touching the vents of the disk with each rotation that is doing this. The guys who did clean the brake told me the disk/pad are still very good.

Is this normal? I tend to remember I did not had that sound when I bough the car last summer. I am going to ask GM if they can do something about this, but I would like to have your input guys.

Thanks

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:

Hi!

It seems I have a brake maintenance to do to the rear brake, they seems to scrub. I can hear a "tic" sound each time the wheel do a rotation.

I bough my car last September with 7500 miles on it as it was a demo, so I only put 6000 miles on the car and they want to charge around 100$ for the job as they are saying it's not covered under warranty.

It's just 100$, but still, I am not impressed by the quality of the service. I never had Brembo before, but this does not seems normal. In any case they should have done the maintenance before selling me the car.

Just wondering what you think about this. In any case I am not going to do the brake maintenance at Chevrolet.

No that doesn't sound right. Brakes are a "wear item" not covered by warranty, but your low mileage suggests a problem or abuse during the demo phase.

The rear brakes should be OK for close to 100,000 miles unless you are road racing.

Your dealer is an a$$hole.
