Guys with 2" headers?

Was there a noticeable loss in low end torque? I was thinking about getting some headers.

From what I've read, most vendors will recommend 1 7/8" headers for goals of less than ~650whp

I lost nothing. Gains across the board. Dig up my thread on it. And I am running cats.

Hi Pray, I didn't mean the dyno but every day street driving. That's one of the best characteristics of the motor.

Unrelated to that but are the bolt on/tune guys seeing a change in mpg?

Same answer. Car felt way stronger in normal driving to me.

And I am getting the same or better gas mileage.

OP my car was tested by JRE with 1 7/8" and 2" ARH LTs back to back. Unless you are going FI or H/C 1 7/8" outperformed 2". 2" gained a couple of HP on top but lost more elsewhere with boltons. JRE took the trouble of removing the 2" to go with the 1 7/8" for the better bolton setup for me at the end of the test. Call Ted and ask him about it. He is a straight shooter.

Frax, I'm looking at those tests and they were done with the MSD manifold installed which causes a drop in HP and torque between 3500-4000 rpms am I right? Pray dyno'd his with the either the stock or ported manifold and it showed no drop whatsoever. In fact it showed gains across the entire power band. I have the 2 inch headers also and cannot detect any appreciable dip in power. I'm planning on going FI that's why chose the 2 inch.
