Add another Whipple installed.

First press of the button and it fired right up. No codes so far. I reved it a few times on the second start and it sounds flippin sweet. I'll button it up over the next few days and give some impressions on how the canned tune performs.I submitted the start up vid so hopefully it worked.

Nice! Should be picking mine up hopefully today or tomorrow at the latest. Rainy weather all week though, so I can't really "explore" this power.

I spent the afternoon chasing error codes and running poorly at anything other than idle. The tech at Whipple was very helpful at helping me figure out the issue. The blue wire that goes from the four wire map ( hidden behind the supercharger ) had the pin pulled out of the connector ( may have been my fault). I rigged up a temporary connection that solved the issue until my new harness gets here. I just took my first drive with no issues. Next post is initial impressions.

I just took my first Whipple drive and here is my first impression of the canned tune. It is quiter than stock, I actually thought it stalled until I looked at the tach. The stock sound tube pumped a lot of engine noise in. The shifts seem firmer but it could be my imagination. The throttle response has been tweaked and actually has a bigger "deadband" than before. It drives close to stock and my wife will be able to drive it just fine. When I punched it from a roll it fishtailed and seemed to have way more body pitch, front up and whole car to the left before blowing tires into smoke - I let off before waiting on the nannies. It still backfires on shifts like stock and is very loud when the NPP opens up at WOT. You can hear the whine of the supercharger at idle and you cant miss it when revving. I only got to drive it for a few minutes since it's cold and late but what a rush. I'll post another impression after driving for a bit.

Message me if you have any questions during your install . Sit down and make a plan for mounting the coolant tank and heat exchanger. The instructions leave out a lot of detail there. I drilled through the crash bar and used 7" 5/16 bolts to mount the coolant tank. You may want to sleeve the plastic bores with tubing to prevent the tank crushing from the mounting bolts. The heat exchanger mounts in a way that is impossible to get to without trimming some plastics or a lot of major dissasembly. Another tip, have the adjustable pulley mounted to the bracket prior to install. It uses a sliding nut on the backside that is very hard to get to and falls into a bad spot when dropped
