Traction issue?

2016 stock Camaro ss. Can this car just not put the power down ever without spinning the tires? I know it's rwd but isn't too much power. This is my first higher horsepower rwd car. Is this normal to expect?

Can't speak to the Camaro yet as only have taken a few test drives before factory ordering. I do have experience with BMW rear drive with less HP than the Camaro and you had to feather the throttle or your were either kicking in traction control (eating up rear brakes) or eating up rear tires.

My camaro has never spun the tires once and I'm over 1100 miles sounds like you got a heavy foot.

That sounds like you are doing a "proper break-in." I have 13,000 miles on my SS and the tires break loose ALL the time. And always because I am commanding them to break loose thru the liberal use of my throttle pedal. And it NEVER breaks loose when I don't want it to. 400 more miles and you can try it in your 1LE. Lots of fun!

I'm obviously talking about full acceleration from a stop. Even if i don't slam on the pedal and slightly ease in to it then full throttle the tires spin.

Both of you guys missed my point, tires don't just spin your foot makes them spin. So Kevin like I said sounds like you have a heavy foot, take it easy on the gas pedal and the tires will stop spinning unless you want them to.

Nope my break in is done and over I'm not an overly anal break in person. I drove it fairly conservatively and my oil was changed at exactly 1000 miles. My point was simply I haven't desired to spin my tires yet. I've spun plenty of tires before and when I feel like it I will spin these.

Lol. Your point is irrelevant. I'm obviously talking about full acceleration tire spinning and if there is a better tire to prevent this more.

You never once asked about a better tire, of course there are better tires than what come on your car.

You should of said I have the following tires on my car, insert type here, and I am having problems with wheel spin under full throttle acceleration. Only thing in your original post you mentioned was car has a lot of Hp and can't keep from spinning wheels. We're suppose to infer from that you want tire reccomendations?
