Wow, didn't know you could make the 6th gen look that ugly.

And I'm pretty sure they just used the Audi TT headlights

Having that drivetrain would be awesome. The rest of it - meh! not so much.

They can do better with the front end. At any rate better than the art project front end on a ZL1.

I saw a 5th gen Trans conversion at the track recently. Don't know why anyone would pay that money for a conversion. I know it takes a lot of work for a non-production vehicle, but they really don't look that good in person.

Looks decent to me, but not 6-figure decent.

Somehow, I dig the rear end. Sort of. Maybe not the lamps themselves, but they cleaned up how the 6th gen's housings and bumper are designed at least.

Edit: Just noticed the exhaust. Ok, maybe not such a fan of the rear anymore.

The interior is just as hideous as the exterior.. I'm actually glad it's fast. Just means I won't have time to see it in detail.

You have to remember this is not a conversion...
They buy the "Body in White" from Chevrolet (No Vin or mechanical components). Which is the shell of the main Gen 6 car. It has its own Vin and manufacturing info.

A Conversion would be buying a Camaro dismantling it, rebuilding it to make it different. Just like Shelby American does with the Mustang.

Plus there are multiple models using the Gen 6 body. The 455SD is just the big boy special edition (Only 50 will be made). There are other models that you can buy for much cheaper made by the same company. This one has a huge weight drop over the Gen6 because of the door, deck lid, spoiler, fenders, front, hood and shaker is all custom carbon fiber. But there is weight added on the Powertrain.

There are a few people that saw it at the auto show saying it looks like a meaner ZL1. But, that is subjective info. I will have to see if for myself to have an opinion.

I agree. I like it a lot. It's a shame there won't ever be another Pontiac Trans Am released by GM. (And yes I know that the T/A's ate up most of the 4th Gen's production budget.)
