9.93 @ 140 - Stock LT1 6th gen A8 with Magnuson and fuel system mods
Finally made it back track to see how the latest tuning, throttle body, and pulley changes impacted the car's ET.
I had a personal goal of seeing a 9 second pass out of this car before any engine mods and that has now been accomplished! I'm not just happy, I'm ecstatic! These LT1s are amazing! Single digit timeslip with a completely stock LT1 engine (valve covers never removed, still running through stock exhaust manifolds and catalysts), stock transmission, and ZERO weight reduction... Want a 9 second car for yourself? It's this easy - modifications are as follows: Magnuson Heartbeat DI supercharger with 75mm pulley (13.8 psi) Nick Williams 103mm throttle body Rotofab Dry CAI Lingenfelter Big Bore HPDI fuel pump LT4 fuel injectors ZL1 in-tank fuel pump AEM Water Injection kit (running 50/50 water meth) VP 109 (105 octane) fuel Carlyle Racing 15" rear conversion kit Mickey Thompson 275/60/15 pro radials and weld wheels Next up - thinking about a cam with bigger fuel lobe and more boost! (As I'm pretty much at the limit of the fuel system again.) I'll keep you posted. |

Hum, first I've heard of this car. Ha, it is fast and just bitchin. I am working on getting closer to Mike but still have a lot to do. It just shows how good the Magnuson really performs. I'm proud to run the Maggie on my Camaro and I'll have the 109 tune in for my next outing which Mike helped me with. Mike you are the man and that Camaro is just flyin right now. Right now I'm 10 mph behind and 9 tenths behind slower. I'm for making mine quicker and as close to Mike as I can get. Nines for a stock motor with just the stuff listed above is pretty impressive.

Stock driveshaft and axles still? Are you running any tq mgt thru the shifts?

Man that car left hard and pulled like crazy. I hope to see some 60ft times close to that on the 22nd but no 9.90's . Great job Mike
