Update on Track (Video): 305/30r20 square set up on OEM 1LE wheels

After a couple months and buying wheels then sending them back, I finally decided to partner with a local track focused shop and try to fit a square 305/30r20 setup on my car. Initially, as you can imagine, they rubbed - specifically on the lower spring perch up front. However, after some research and help from this group I ordered the following:

- 5 mm hub centric spacers
- Silverado studs, part number 11588810

**Both the CTSV and ATSV's stud part numbers are identical to studs on our 1LEs**

I ran 1.8 degrees of camber up front this weekend at an autoX to feel out the turn in before a track day Tuesday. Here is the video:

Initial Impressions: Well I didn't lose control with oversteer and crash! I did see quite a bit of understeer but it could have come from the pea gravel media parking lot we were on. I'll update the thread after Tuesday with a video of my on track feel.

Did you go with Pilot Super sports or the new 4S? Also can you add another pic showing the poke on the front wheels? I'm wondering how much they will poke considering the 285s poke a bit.

Well the short answer to this is that they will poke out 10 mm more than the 285s on the stock setup with no other changes made but the tire swap.

I bought the pilot super sports and a set of cup 2s, these are the pss for now. I'll have to snap a photo from the front later today. Keep in mind I have the z06 fender flares as well, with the intention of running a wider wheel.

Maybe a pic from the rear looking forward along the door? I still want to do those Z06 flares as well! You sure you don't want to make me a set?!?!?! hahaha

Not a problem, I'll take a few and post them.

As far as the flares, it's a lot of measuring twice and cutting once. If I managed to cut them up and send them your way, it may not be perfect for your car. I'm always open to guide you through it though!

You went with 20x11 with 305s up front with only a 5mm spacer?
Or 20x10 with 305 and 5mm spacer.
I tried the 11 inch up front and needed 32.7mm to clear, which is why I asked.
I want a 305 square set up, but really want the 11 inch wheel up front. It requires 32.7mm spacer to clear the mount, but sticks out way too far more me.

Where are the front plastic fender extensions from?

edit: nevermind an adaptation from a Z06.

305s on the 20x10" OEM wheels actually look better than I expected .. I would think it would look a bit mushy with the size it doesn't seem like the case here. For the reference my Trofeo Rs on 10.5" wheels look a bit more mushy probably Trofeo R runs a bit wider

Is there anyway you can get another picture with showing how much they stick on front from different angle? Maybe taking it somewhere between the front fender and door so the flares wouldn't be in the way

I might consider getting these for oem/street and keep the dedicated track setup so it would be fun driving during the rainy winter season

looks great, thanks for the picture. I might definitely consider getting PS4S in square setup for the next set I also received my Z06 fender flares and will install them soon, they should help on aero balance and drag with SQ setup

I'm about to head out for track night in America in Motorsports Ranch in Cresson, TX. I'll write up my experience compared to this last month with the stock set up.
