Square setup for daily

Since i plan to get a 2nd set of wheels anyway as track use trashes wheels. Wondering if anyone has gone to a square setup for daily on their 1LE?

Maybe even a downsize for more tire options?
Considering 285/35 on 19x10. Assuming there is brake clearance.

My personal opinion is you should use the square setup for track use, so you can rotate the track tires, because as you said, track use trashes them. There are already pretty extensive threads on people theorizing and experimenting with 19" square setups for the 1LE.

I haven't done it yet, but after researching I think I'll go with 295/30R20's.

I'm on 295/30's square. Nothing major to report, great on a backroad or road trip.
I just put 1100 miles on the car this past weekend going to visit friends in Asheville via the tail of the dragon! 295 square doesn't have a huge impact on the car's handling balance, its still insanely stable and fun on the street or track; but allows me to rotate tires on wheels to maximize tire life (it helps my best friend runs a track prep shop and gives me a good deal on mount/balance!)

I assume this means no rubbing to report? What brand/model tire did you run? Stock wheels/offsets?

Correct- no rubbing. Bridgestone RE71R. OE wheels, no spacer.

So you're still running 20x10 front and 20x11 back and having the tires swapped?

Yes, factory staggered wheels. Just saying swapping tires on wheels is an option if needed in the future. For instance, the rear tends to wear the centers quicker and the fronts tent to wear the shoulders quicker (my driving style).

That is the set up I was looking at, too. Can you post a pic of each of the wheels to see how the 295's look? Thanks.

for daily use, you may also consider Michelin PS4S tires since it's available in almost all the sizes. Cheap, one of the best (if not the best) wet traction, and longer treadwear.. they're light too. I would go with 295/30/19 instead of 35 sidewalls

Hello, I am just learning. What is a "square setup? Do you mean just like the regular tire size and wheels that comes on the 2SS Camaro ?
I would like to do this to my car when it arrives (2017 Garnet red SS 1LE).
I'd like to buy 4 black rims and the exact same tires that goes on the regular SS.
Anything mechanical standing in my way (differential etc...?)

Here you go. No big surprise- a little bigger front sidewalk, a little smaller rear.
