Magnetic Ride Control opinions

Thinking of upgrading to the 2018 production year...

After some time in the drivers seat, what do owners think of the 1le MRC suspension?

I think it's great for all around track/street use, and ability to adjust from Tour-Sport-Track modes is very convinent but it could use a bit higher spring rates and maybe slightly more aggressive option in Track settings (Like Z07 package's MRC tuning with Cup 2 tires) so that running softer would be more beneficial as it's currently optimized for Street tires.

I have to say though, I am more concerned about the track performance than the overall/street performance as this is not my daily driver. Another good option would be the upcoming Multimatic suspension with the new ZL1 1LE, they're adjustable OEM coilovers!! (not so many OEM adjustable offerings for sports cars). They will be tuned for track use and the new Eagle F1 Supercar 3R tires in 19" sizes so lowering the center gravity and rotational mass would also been an added bonus on top of the already aggressive suspension/tires setup.

Mines not my daily driver, but the ride quality considering the stiff suspension, and huge tires IMO is amazing. MRC really lets you dial in what you want...a little softer, use tour, want it stiff, use track...I tend to cruise around in sport, it is a nice middle ground.

I daily drive mine. The versatility of the car is simply amazing. Tour mode commuting and Track Mode PTM Race for Autocrossing. This car does everything I want it to.

the best adjustable suspension I have ever had on a car - comfortable all day in touring, great on track; perfect in sport around town. they nailed it. until the 1LE suspension I have been disappointed in magnetic/adjustable suspension, which includes my 991.1S and GT4.

Ive only put 140 miles on my new 1LE, but I cant tell a difference on the street in regards to the mag ride from one mode to another. I guess I need more seat time obviously, but it seems very stiff even in touring mode. Im coming from a 2017 charger daytona 392. That car was not stiff, but had almost no body pitch or roll. It was GREAT for the street. But obviously would suck at a track. But 99.99% of my driving is on the street.

Wow, you can't tell tour from track? I think it's a pretty large difference in ride. Especially when on a hilly or bumpy road. I will say the difference is way less noticeable on a perfectly flat, smooth road. But that is understandable...

I really only drive in Track mode with all nannies off for most part. However that will change for a little while when I get her back with the Whipple. In recent years I've had a Challenger SRT8 (caddy), G35, G37S, F350 6.7 still w/ the 1LE and I have to say the handling and adjustability is unbelievable!

Thanks for the response! Sounds like everyone likes MRC... Remembering way back, and this is going waaaay back... The only Formula 1 racing teams winning or even competing with the fast group had active suspension. Glad to see the technology finally made it to a sports car people can actually buy!

Coming from a 15Gt mustang with Performance package and lots of years driving high performance cars , it's a noticable difference between the modes. Flat roads....Not so much. Get into some turns and wow! I spent another $2k on my GT to even get to tour mode of this car.
