How Did you get into Camaros?

I was in Dubai in late 90s. People over there are wealthy, small country, lots of money. Sometimes they get Europian and American cars even before they are available in original country.
I was walking in the street and saw this good looking car parked on the street. Must be the first time I ever saw this model. I wrote down whatever was written on the Car and once I came back home looked it up and found out it was a third gen. Bought one shortly after. I still have it, and will never sell it.

The 6th gen got more athletic in looks and how it drove. While I did quite like the 5th gens 2010-2013 looks, was not impressed with how big and heavy it drove and had quite a bit of body roll in the corners. Also the fact the automatic got a weaker V8. Don't need to get me started on the interior.....

With the 6th gens skinner, sharper design, being on the vastly superior Alpha platform, and equally superior interior, that is what got me into the 6th gen.

Transformers 1 when bumblebee goes from being the 2nd gen to the 5th gen. I was little at the time and I didn't like any car back then except for the Mustang of that year but when I saw the Camaro I instantly fell in love and wanted a 5th gen and I even loved the 2nd gen bumblebee was. It became my Dream Car. I remember asking my mother to rent the DVD from Blockbuster because I remembered they said the name of the car in the movie at some point and I wanted to find out. I was fortunate enough growing up to have driven my dream car multiple times and rent one to take to my senior prom and I had the time of my life. It was looking up used 5th gens to buy that I eventually stumbled upon the news of the 6th gen and this forum. Now I happily drive a 6th gen RS and will be trading up to an SS or a ZL1. I love this car and Its been there for me for many great moments in my life.

Two words... Knight Rider. I know it was a Trans Am but after l learned that the Camaro was its fraternal twin, I ended up being more drawn to the Camaro.

here's a different one. Was never into camaros in particular. I love old school muscle and even though they are towards the top of the list i never liked them the most. The new ones that came out, i didn't like so much either. My friend ended up getting a 5th gen zl1 which was pretty awesome. I wasn't in love with it but did appreciate it.

Anyways I have the money to get myself a muscle car and was actually going towards the mustang. I had no idea about the new 6th gen camaros!!! I left the ford dealer with my decision made. My dad tells me to go pass by chevy and at least take a look

Thats where i stumbled across a 6th gen! A fifty anniversary to be specific. I didn't know about the 1LE and when i priced a camaro out, the salesman accidentally added the 1LE package cause i wanted to price a camaro similar to a pp1 mustang.

Thats when i looked at the sheet and saw the options i was getting. My mouth dropped aha. I went home that day and went online. SOLD! i was there in a week and ordered my 1lE. happy ever after

After 5 corvettes, one being a C7 I happened on my 1LE. It's a Corvette Z51 Stingray with a Camaro body on it (and I paid like $42k)...

I am a fan!

When GM stopped making Firebirds, Camaros looked good all of a sudden.

x2

+ I Never liked the Pontiac "orange" glow from the dash or the flip up head lights so the next best thing was the Camaro.
