ECM Part Number?

I'm looking for the correct part number for a 2016 6.2 2SS A8 ecm. I see possibly 12672537 but also see 12676230. Trying to see if there is a way to have a spare one to use for stock only setup. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Almost positive you can't do that but I will let the pros chime in as to why you can't.

I would like to know what they had to say about doing this. Can you elaborate? Or anyone else chime in.

Below is a quote from Ted at Jannetty racing i hope he does not mind.

You can not swap ecms with our GM knowing as you must have a GDS connected to GMs server to activate and or synchronize a new ECM in your car.

If you synchronize one computer then try and put back the other the car will not start or run.

Here is a link to this thread.

Like JFM said, you have to be connected to a GM server, but a new ECM can be programmed to your car. Just not as easy as ordering one with your VIN anymore...
