I've always gone with 20% on my Windows and recently 55% on my front windshield. 20% is dark enough to look great and not draw attention from cops, never once had an issue, and here the only thing legal is 35%. Had cops compliment my cars and say as long as they can see inside they don't care what the percentage is.

I've tinted about 10 or 12 cars over the years and chosen a bunch of different tints and it really always comes down to 35% or 20% for a daily driver.. 35% is totally legal most everywhere and get your nice tinted work.20% is a better look, imo but slightly illegal in most states, but they won't pull you over for it in general. 5% limo is just too dark. The general rule of thumb is with 35% you can see out of it The car completely at night, 20% you can see out of the car except maybe on very dark country roads. I choose 20% Most of the time.

I agree: 20% is the sweet spot for me all the way around, but I prefer a sunstrip.

15% on the back 3, 30% on the doors (legal state limit)...but most here in FL will do 15% all round.

also, common to see 5% all round and 30% on the windshield.

I went legal as to not get harrased by the law, but I bought the more expensive thermal tint. The tint alone does wonders keeping the car cool, but upgrading to a thermal barrier makes a huge differance in the sunshine state.

And I will only buy a 3M product, therefore thats what I recommend.

3M, thermal...after that, the tint level is a user preferance.

Anyone tried Nano Ceramic clear heat block for windshield? It's a 100% tint that holds only the heat.

The tinter I prefer to use around here uses suntek carbon, I'm not and expert but I've never had and issue with that brand, had it on at least 6 vehicles. It has a lifetime warranty against fading.

35% on the side glass, 20% dark on the rear and quarters. I actually had the front windshield tinted with this all new ceramic film. Cost me an extra 140 bucks to do it but no cracked dashboard ever and it looks absolutely amazing...

Do you still have good rear view with 20%?

20% all around except windshield. I don't touch the windshield, 20% all around looks amazing to me. I do not like the lighter on doors/ darker on back look. It looks better the same all around. On my previous 2015 focus st I did limo all around except windshield and it looked killer but was a bit hard to see out of backing out at night.
