3-4 gear vibration

Anyone else get a vibration in 3rd or 4th gear at 50mph accelerating?
Some one else mentioned it, so I tried it today and sure enough, it does. Feels like coming from the rear.

More info, please.

What speeds? What RPM?

Personally, I have noticed nothing but 'clunkiness' when shifting cold.

I feel it while in low rpm's in 4th and pressing down on the gas. Almost like the car is yelling back saying.... HELLO get down to third or less throttle. Almost like a slippage for me.

Downshift.

It's not a FI motor. You have to put it in the powerband. (requires some smarts from the driver)

In 3rd or 4th gear, 3-3500rpm cruising about 50mph, roll on the gas, not floor it, you fell a vibration for about 10mph or until 60mph. Tried it at 40mph and 60mph in same gears and didn't feel it as much. Again, some one else mentioned this, so I decided to see if I felt it also. Almost feels like driveshaft vibration. I'll run it through a few more tests tomorrow and if I still feel it I guess to the dealer it goes.

+1 to that, 4th gear doesn't like low speed pulls. I learned this pretty quickly... well I learned it when my buddy in the passenger seat started yelling DOWN SHIFT when it started lugging haha

I wasn't flooring it either. I truly have felt it but only had it forth. But I was lower then 3500 and coughed it up to being to low on rpms. Sounds different then what I experienced then.

The engine is no where near lugging. 3500rpm at 50mph in 3rd is just fine. When I'm Just driving around I shift around 2500rpm, never had a issue. And I did down shift, as well as upshift. Down shifting only causes the vibration to disappear a little faster, but is still present.

It was me that mentioned it. More detailed info in this thread: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=488926

I'm not sure if I would call it a vibration, it feels more like a rumble or resonance even, to me...

Just got back from a drive. Tried to eliminate a few things. Put car on a lift and looked for anything touching, all good, tried a/c on and off, no different, straight or turning doesn't matter, open or closed exhaust no change, messing around with TC and PTM, no effect on it, different drive modes have no effect either.

It's not noticeable when cruising slowly, or when getting on it hard. So in most cases it's not in your normal driving area. Moderate acceleration is when I can feel it. I would call it mild, but if you cruising and put it in 3rd gear, get to about 3000 rpm/50 mph...then accelerate progressively, I feel for a few seconds during this procedure the most.

If some folks could try the same next time out, I'd appreciate it.

If someone can see if their car does this under the same conditions the next time they have their car out I'd appreciate it. A buddy of mine said after I mentioned it, he noticed it too. So that's three.

Try third gear, 3000 rpm/50 mph, then accelerate kinda slowly and you may notice it for about 10-15 seconds. Report back your findings.

Thx!

Mine does it too. My 5 speed Silverado also does it. It's more noticeable in this car since it's otherwise very tight and any vibration is pronounced. It's really ridiculous considering GM wants you to go from 1st to 4th and pressure you into a situation to lug the engine.

What we are talking about isn't lugging at all though...

3rd gear, 3000 rpm/50 mph is well above any lugging threshold. Accelerating from that point progressively will make me notice it.
