New Bolt On MPH Record.

I don't have a lot of time to lay everything out like I usually do. I will try to do that tomorrow. I got a few runs in today but the clocks in each lane were acting up. You can tell by the slips. Rarely did I get both 1/8 and 1/4 mph on the same slip. I am sure my 99+mph 1/8 mile runs were well over 125 in the 1/4. DA was +200 and I was on 79-80% E. No BS or weight pulled or anything like that. I made one fuel adjustment and two trans adjustments. Tire pressure was 16.5-18. Stupid crappy "Race Cars" couldn't make a pass without crashing or oiling down the track. I am starting to hate TNT's and so called race cars. They ruin the entire day.

Here is the best 1/4 MPH and ET I got recorded.

You are ringing the bell. Nice job, better get it now cause you know what is coming. Warmer weather and NA cars don't like that.

Thanks buddy. I have to pour over the data from today vs. my data from my other passes where my 1/8th mph was consistently up. Not sure if it is a fuel thing, rpm thing, trans thing, timing thing. But the logs should reveal some useful data. I really wanted to crack 100mph in the 1/8th. It looks like I may have on the first run but the dang computer didn't log and it didn't show up on the slip. So no proof, no glory. LOL. The weather was a bit better earlier on but only lasted one pass or so. It was all gone by second or third run. The second and third run were over 99mph or just at it but I got no 1/4mph on the slip. But as usual, as I get the car dialed in the weather is gone. These TNT's are at the worst part of the day. I am still really happy with the results from today. I can't complain one bit about the car. I really need to put some TM back in it to stop the wheel spin on shifts. I am going to have to raise my TQ tables again as well. I was getting some TB closure at the top of the gears and on shifts with all the trans TM turned off. SO it is in the engine TM tables. Those are already jacked up 33%.

More truth has never been spoken. I really wanted to catch you today. Just wasn't there. I have some more stuff to try. I may just have to rent the dang track the next time there is some sick weather in town.

Very nice! That's some great mph for sure. I'm sure u got some good data to analyze. I can def see ya doing 100mph in the 1/8th for sure. I went back out today and went 98 in the 1/8th. I really need to just bite the bullet and send my TCM in to be unlocked. LOL.

The wind was a trip today as well. You never knew what way it was going to blow. One pass it was in your face, the next it was to your back. It blew me a good three feet across the track mid way down on one pass. So I can't say it hurt or help me. I really wish the clocks in both lanes were working correctly. I am going to throw my cut outs on there and possibly grab some cat delete pipes from Kooks. As soon as I have some cash just laying around dying to get spent I am going to restall the stock converter. A 3,600 in this car is a game changer. I found a fueling issue in 1st down low that I think I went the wrong way on. I will correct that as well and see what happens.

Nice, what was your DA up there today? I can figure it out if I know what track it was and what time you were running. Did your 1/4 mph change at all? I may have to grab a MSD I have laying around and port it up to see if it is worth anything at the track, on the dyno it was but still had TQ issues. Get that TCM unlocked and dialed in. There is at least .3 and a couple mph in there. Your dyno numbers are ridiculous. You must have had a very healthy car from the factory. Mine pretty much sucked stock. But the gains are as real as they come.

I went to MIR today. DA was around -200, humidity higher today also. ET was down .1 and trap speed was 2 mph down, but 1/8th was up 1mph from yesterday at Capitol. Historically, I always run slower trap speeds at MIR compared to Capitol. Had a nasty headwind today as well. Car shifting at 6350. REALLY need to raise that!!

Every track is different for sure, you better make it faster cause I'm going back next weekend with a new tune and VP MS 109. Temps look to be close to yesterday and I'm keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't rain as the weather forecast says. We haven't messed with the tranny tune at this point and may not since its doing a good job of not spinning the tires too much. No doubt you've done a hell of a job getting to where you are and I'm impressed with your tuning and that magic porting. I still may try one of your TB port jobs after I pay my 3700 in Federal Taxes next month. Not spending any additional cash till after that.

I think I am going to try another track soon. I have heard it is "faster" for a long time. We will see.

With all of your TQ I would only make shift point adjustments up to lessen the shock on shift recovery on the 1/2 and 2/3 shifts. I would also only make adjustments to minimum spark table to control TM. I would set the TB blade recovery to "immediate" so you don't get hit with reduced spark and TB closure. On your combo I would not just remove TM all together.

I would really like to see what your car can do with headers.

And OUCH on the taxes.

Yeah man, drop the TM and raise the shift points to 6,600 or better. I am just not sure about the valve train stability and a few other things above that rpm. I know that with my ported MSD stuff shifting at 6,700 or higher wouldn't hurt performance in a perfect world.
