The website says it is dexos1 approved, so you could use it in the car for daily driving. Personally, I just can't see using it unless you drive less than 7500 miles per year.

I use amsoil oil and run between 10-12k miles in my wife's pathfinder. This is 25k mile oil with a 25k mile oil filter. I just switched to amsoil in my camaro and will change the first one at 7500 miles. Then the next go to 10-12k miles as well. 12-15k miles a year is the annual average for most people. I do not see where this would be a problem. I had a 2010 BMW 5 series and this car was 15k mile oil changes based on BMW. In my opinion the oil was not as good as amsoil but equal to mobil 1 synthetic. Some times it was mobil 1 synthetic. I say this after I have seen people send out oil samples and they return saying that you can still run the same oil after 15-20k miles. If you want to be cautious send a sample to blackstone labs at the recommended 7500 miles.
www.blackstone-labs.com/free-test-kits.php By the way I am still changing my oil half of what can be done because I am ocd and can not conform to new standards yet. |
