Ordered a Whipple today (Tough Choice)

I was really leaning towards the Procharger setup and I seriously want to thank Erik (Procharger) for all his patience in answering PMs and help.

Ultimately deep down I ended up waking up today and realizing I wanted the Whipple to start I will give the "unicorn" a chance.

Spoke with them today and was assured 6-8 weeks and that the 4 weeks being shown on dealers is way off. Ordered it today and if I do not have it in my garage by end of April / early May.... then Procharger will get a very quick order.

Fate will decide.

Not a problem man

Thankfully, your PM's prompted me to get the ball rolling so that we can start doing the tuning for these 2017's in the next week.

That way just like the 2016's people can enjoy our ridiculous fast shipping times.

Enjoy the boost my friend!
Erik

That was one that was a tough choice $600 is a lot for a "color." But told the wife I've wanted a SC for years finally getting one... damned I don't get at least the "color" I want when I finally get one!

They still showing 5-6 weeks on shipping or now up to 8 weeks? Or is that 8 weeks you being patient? If it's you being patient you are very indeed.

I hear ya brother! Same reason I gave for ordering my SS. I was going to get exactly what I wanted, not just some car off the lot.

I phoned. Was told the current lead time they are telling customers is 6-8 weeks and I told them I appreciate the honesty vs. telling me 4 and stretching it each week.

If it gets past 8 weeks I will be getting a Procharger at that point and considering it "meant to be..."

My time frame is by March 24th which equals exactly 6 weeks since they told me 5-6 but then again I did not request a color which they say adds time. I will be ordering a ProChanger and cam on the 25th if I they don't make it though. My shop is suppose to call them the week of the 13th to confirm that they are still on schedule for shipping.

Normally I wouldn't stress that much about it but because of the many many delays on them getting the product to market I decided to set a deadline as to how long I would wait.

For the cost of admission. Damn straight. Almost think they are built to order or something.

I'm only willing to wait because that's the start of May which in MI is pretty much couple weeks into regular good weather. Weather still sucks... But once that May season rolls around I will not have a bit of patience.

Can understand that. Here in Virginia Beach it's been above 70 degrees several days a week for the past month it seems. I believe winter skipped our area.

The worst part of this 8 week wait... is unlike ordering a ZL1 as an example.... there arent 500 videos to watch to surpass the time..... I've literally found less than 10 sources of real media about this SC.

My biggest concern about this whole thing is jrs580 was still waiting on a heat exchanger. That seemed like weeks ago. How long does it take to ship and install a heat exchanger. So your shipping concerns are definitely valid.
