First time SS owner

Ive had my 2017 1ss for about 3 weeks now and I absolutely love the thing! The difference between this and the 2015 2LS I traded in is night and day. I can not wait to delve into all things Camaro SS
Now to add some point to this post. I do have one question. Are the 50th anniversary edition rims available to buy? as replicas or from the dealer? Ive done a google search but came up empty unfortunately. I have not talked to anyone from the dealership I bought the car from so I thought I'd ask on here. I think the wheels look really good and I would definitely buy a set if available.

I think you can buy them from the dealer.

Post of a pic of your ride!

There are tons of aftermarket rims you can get for a lot less than 50 anniv rims.

Will do in the morning! Ill ask about them next time I go in. I haven't really seen many aftermarket ones that I like as much as I do the 50th anniversary ones. Hopefully dealership prices aren't too ridiculous.

Oem wheels are rather expensive. You could probably get custom Kinesis for similar pricing and get a better looking stronger and lighter wheel.

Rotational weigh matters, I agree go aftermarket.

Congrats on the new ride. Gotta post photos though! It's required here!

Check out the wheels section in the forum. Many photos to help you decide if aftermarket wheels interest you. Rotational weight does matter & there are some gorgeous wheels out now.

Congrats on the new delivery!

If you like the 50th wheels, then go for them. Keep an eye out in the classifieds et al and I'm sure eventually a clean set will pop up. OEM wheel quality is always going to be top notch. With an aftermarket wheel, your best bet is to find one that's been JWL & VIA certified, that's about as good as it gets for assured quality in the aftermarket. The rotational and unsprung weight points are very good, but really only matter if you're very serious about getting the last bit of performance out of the car (e.g. track guy, auto-xer, and/or a big weight loss nut). If you happen to come across a high quality aftermarket wheel that looks as good as the 50th to you and is lighter, then that would be win-win.

Not really sure how to upload photos on here. I hope this works haha. These pictures don't do her justice I'm no photographer and they were taken quickly before I went to into work. I'm hoping to go into the dealership soon and I'll ask their about the availability of the rims. If I go aftermarket the performance gains would have to be huge because I am in love with the 50th ones but I'll keep my mind and eyes open.

congrats, i considered the 50th wheels for an SS, however the price from dealer was $617 per wheel.
