Ballpark on the WHP with these 2 sets of mods

Hey y'all

Curious on what I should expect to gain - I have some guesses on the modification gains, but I haven't seen exactly the same setups so I'm curious.

Basically trying to do a decent bang for my buck before going SC. I don't plan on doing a cam or upgrading the fuel system so I don't see much need to add more mods before going with the ECS1500 kit. Considering it made 550whp thru and A8 on 93 octane, and the factory fuel system is basically done at 575-600whp. So really the headers or cat-delete mods are just for quick gains while the car is all-motor and to keep some heat out of the engine bay once supercharged.

Car: 2017 Camaro SS 1LE (6MT)

First Set of Mods:
  1. Flex Fuel Sensor
  2. 2in headers with catless x pipe (likely Dynatech as they mate to the factory NPP exhaust)
  3. rotofab or k&n intake
  4. Dyno Tune on E85

Second set of mods:
  1. Flex fuel sensor
  2. CA Performance primary cat deletes
  3. flowmaster secondary cat delete x-pipe
  4. k&n or rotofab intake
  5. e85 dyno tune

Thanks in advance

If you arent planning on upgrading the fuel system why not just buy the blower and get the 550-600 rwhp target with no futher investment?

Good question - and one I should have anticipated.

The answer is because I don't plan on doing the blower for a little while, and I'd like to get some cheap gains to hold me over until then.

I'd also like the car to be a little louder

I can't for certain on those exact mods but I have seen guys getting 475wrhp to 500rwhp with:

CAI intake
ported tb
Msd Intake
long tubes with high flow cats and exhaust
e85 mod
tune

I currently have all these minus the E85 mod. I'm guessing the first set would get you to a solid 450 and probably a bit more. Add a msd intake and I would think you'd be at a solid 475 or more depending on the dyno. just my 2 cents from what I've seen

How about just do what YOU want. Either cat delete or go headers. Pick one and enjoy. I think a couple HP either way won't break you.

You seem to miss the obvious point here.

What I want is less heat when the blower arrives and decent power for the least amount of money.

You can buy cat deletes and an x-pipe for like $500 total. Headers are going to be another $800 after shipping.

If I only expect to see 10whp for $800... I'd save my money. However if it's 15, 20, 25 whp etc - Then maybe I'd reconsider.
