2017 Chevy Camaro SS Auto Dyno Pulls - 468/475 Minimal Mods

Finally got around to making a few pulls on the dyno with my 2017 Chevy Camaro SS Auto. Don't really care about dyno numbers, but I was curious since my All Motor Heads/Cam 5th Gen (3850 raceweight) only read 450/413 on this exact same dyno, but ran low 10.8s all day long and a best of 10.78 @ 125. Now, of course, I have 3.91 gears and a 3800 Stall in my 5th Gen as well.

For the minimal mods, the 6th Gen made some good numbers, 468/475. Torque band looks great! Pulls done in 5th gear. These 6th Gens are quite impressive.

Now, time to hit the track and see what she does. ECM is only tuned at the moment, due to having to send my TCM in to HPT to be unlocked. I will see what I can do best without tweaking the TCM.

Current Mods:

Remote base tune file from Ryan Stevens (GPI) and tweaked by Me
CA Performance Cat Delete Pipes
Bo White Ported MSD Intake Manifold
Bo White Ported Throttle Body
Rotofab Cold Air Intake (Dry Filter)
EFI Tuning Flex Fuel Kit
Stock NPP Exhaust and Stock Manifolds

Do not know. Car was never dynoed stock. Car has 3500 miles and has had these mods since 1700 miles. I just drove up and put her on the rollers. I believe their dyno sees stock 6th Gens in the 400/420 range tho.

Wow, you should have done one 6th gear pull and been the first to crack 500rw. I need to get on that dyno. Those are amazing numbers for 5th gear. Get it to the track and lets see what she does.

Bhill, was your L99 motor using a GPI VVT cam? I have heard that they do great work with the VVT stuff.

I have a GPI SS4 Non VVT cam in my 5th gen right now. Unfortunately, I did a LS3 Conversion way back in the day with my first baby cam (223/231 .610 .617 114LSA Cam). Baby cam, yet I got it down to a best of 10.83.

With what I know now, I would have stayed with VVT when I did my first cam.

Yes, Ryan and all the folks over at GPI are great. Their cams are track proven. I am actually about to drop a different GPI cam in my 5th Gen in a couple months in preparation for CamaroFest in July. Hahaha.

Thanks, my 5th Gen buddy swears by them, just trying to get another opinion. I hope to be H/C by Camaro Fest. We will see though. I really like the VVT/AFM on my car. I guess I should ask if they are making AFM cams, not VVT. All of our cams are technically VVT.

Not sure if you saw, but Josh from GPI actually hit the track with his GPI Heads/Cam Auto 6th gen this past weekend and went 10.86 @ 125, first time out. Its enough cam to go sub 10.5s, once they iron out a few things.
