Ordering my 1LE today

Hey fellas, after many months I'm finally taking the plunge on getting this car. I fell in love with it right when they were announced, and have been waiting patiently to get my stuff together to make this happen. Well, the day has finally arrived! Also, this is my first manual so I guess that I should brush up on that before I clumb in, eh?

Don't let being a manual noob scare you, this is my first manual and it only took me about a week (around 100-150miles) to get comfortable/not scared in it, you will pick it up in no time!

I've owned many manual cars, and in all honestly this one is pretty easy. The torque and progressive clutch all help. The shifter has nice direct, short throws too. Only "issue" is until you get used to the clutch take up point and throttle sensitivity, under moderate acceleration on the 1-2 shift it can at times be a little clumsy. Overall, a good one to learn on for a novice...

Torn between black and graphite. Looking at getting wickerbill, debadging the ss's, 1le badges on the side, darkened taillamps...

The throttle sensitivity was/is the biggest issue for me, it just feels dead for that first bit of travel (bugs the shit out of me!) And yes the 1-2 can be a bit clunky/clumbsy at times but I have learned to rev it out a little more and that seems to help.

Try sport mode + press traction off twice.

Wait... are you just messing with me? haha I know with it in Track that's how you access PTM, but what does it do when you hit it twice in Sport? Does that not just turn of TCS/Stability?

That's what I thought, I don't see how that would have any effect on the initial deadness of the accelerator...

It shouldn't. That should only change with changing the actual mode.

A push and hold does that. Two pushes turns on competitive mode and PTM.

Push once: TC off
Push and hold: TC and SC off
Push two times: competitive mode on (also brings up PTM settings, which you can choose to use or not)

Right?
