Do you have a relay in K6 front fuse box?

So have ran into something that seems odd about the front fuse box on my 2SS. It seems I have a relay in the K6 position that some people do not. That wouldn't be surprising except the fuse is labeled as "Coolant Pump" in the owner's manual (pg. 280, 282).

Even more interesting is I have seen several member pictures of their fuse box which are SS cars that do not have this relay. The MY doesn't seem to matter since it's listed on the 2016 and 2017 owner's manual. My guess is it could be because mine is an Auto, but would like to see what everyone else has. If you have the relay, just post your car details (A8/M6, MRC, etc...)

I'm including a shot from the owner's manual and my fuse box:

2016 A8 NPP, MRC, no sunroof, 4 pot brakes and I do not have a relay there. You have my interest. 3/16 build date

EDIT: F54 says "coolant Pump" in the manual as well. I see you have a fuse there as well. I do not have the 15 amp fuse there. Clearly my car does not have whichever coolant pump this is for.

EDIT 2: I just saw in another thread someone say "That's probably for the ZL1's intercooler coolant pump" so maybe they just put that in there for 2017 and late 2016 builds as it is cheaper to run the same fuse block down the line. It makes sense because the ZL1 does have an air to water intercooler I believe which does require a pump.

So Eric's response seems to rule out the auto having anything to do with it. Which is even crazier seeing now we have 16 and 17 cars with it. With both SS trims having the same cooling system, what could this thing be for?

Try removing it and starting the car. See if you get an error or warning. If it is cooling-related you could drive the car for a bit and watch temps. You can always pull over and put the relay in again.

Seems a bit risky for simple curiosity. I'm tempted to take a trip to the service dept and see what they pull up about the relay in the system.

Have someone post the 8-digit number off the top of their relays and google them. GM relays are pretty specific part numbers per system, so it should give you enough information to figure out what it is used for.

Looking at the videos in the review section of Mishimoto, I see no mention of an electric pump for the stock SS, although it is interesting to see that both the manual and automatic cars include both transmission and differential cooling circuits, as well as oil cooling.
Videos 4 and 5 detail the cooling system for stock SS:

I believe this relay and fuse are most likely for the ZL-1 intercooler pump as someone speculated above. See this schematic (in post #9) for the gen5:

The P/N is 13502753 but Google search really doesn't turn up any info other than buying one. Looks like a generic relay that can be used in multiple applications including headlights.

While I'm tempted to buy it's meant for a ZL1, the problem is not every car has one and it's not just MY17s either. It would be nice to confirm if only late build '16s and all '17s have it, but not really getting enough responses to make that clear. Another issue is why did the '16 owner's manual mention it from day one.

the part number is the number for the relay, nothing to do with what it is for. also, look at the relays, they are the same pn

Maybe it has something to do with the cooling package? Do the people that have the relay bought their car with the cooling package and the people that don't have the relay don't have the package? Seems logical since the relay is for the coolant pump.
