Global Time Attack - Streets of Willow

Some of my Subaru friends are pretty big into Global Time Attack. I'll be at this event, and I'm debating on registering the 1LE... Unfortunately, we have to compete in Limited RWD due to our rear tire size... If we had 285's in the back, we'd be in Street RWD...

Here's my fastest lap of the weekend and a screenshot from the Cosworth Toolbox.

That looks like fun! Are you running with a transponder?

It was a blast! I think the PTM instills TOO much confidence... As you'll see when I post the full video, I was overdriving the car... mainly because I could do practically ANYTHING and the car would catch itself.. hahah.

Yes, we use transponders and the times matched the PDR lap times to the hundredth of a second.

Very cool! Any pics of the car with the GTA door and window banners? I'd like to do a GTA one of these days in Cali. I have a square 285 setup with 220 treadwear on that would be nice for the enthusiast class.

I should have some this week. I didn't take any myself, but there were a ton of photographers out there.

As far as tires, yes... That's the only thing bumping from Enthusiast, and Street, all the way into Limited class. Had I been running 285's all around, I had a 1.5 second buffer from the fastest Enthusiast RWD best time...

Thanks for the videos! I can say without a doubt, I have never seen so much nanny support in one lap...That was an eye opener!

I need to learn that "slow is fast" and "smooth is fast"... Instead of just trying to force the car to do stuff...

I was more surprised at the car than you :-) There were low speed turns (in the 40's) where it was kicking in A LOT for no seen reason ??? were you trying to drift around the turns or ????? Just curious, as I can't believe it wants to over-steer like that without a lot of power being put down (or trying too!)

Which video and which turn specifically? I wasn't TRYING to drift, but it did have a tendency to on corner exit. All of which was probably induced by me trying to carry too much corner speed, and applying too much throttle too quickly.
