Bought a 1LT but.......

One day I went to go look for an SS just to see what it was like, ended up trading my truck in for a 1lt 2L Turbo... My intentions were to buy an SS or even lease and after going to the Camaros And Coffee Meet made me want an SS even more.. I'm happy and excited I own a camaro but I still feel like I need an SS.. What Do I Do?!?!

It took me two Camaro's, 2010 1LT and 2014 2LT, to decide I needed an SS.

I traded my 2014 in at a loss, sadly that's about your only option.

Well, if you don't mind losing your rear, then trade it in for an SS. Otherwise, enjoy your turbo. It's an amazing power plant with lots of potential and the aftermarket for this engine is growing like weeds.

Cash up a lot of CASH or take the hit added to the new payments. It's not going to be pretty. Is it a lease or did you purchase this one? Take a look at this thread from a while back of a forum member who ended up getting a Camaro V6 with regrets. Seems now he has a ZL1 A8 on order and getting rid of his V6 in a similar situation as you. http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showth...hlight=regrets

Enjoy the Lt. In about 4 years look for a quality SS or a ZL1 that may be on the market and jump on it. Better yet, save the same money and pick up a late gen 6 SS.

Depends on how you look at it You are almost certainly going to lose money unless you got an incredibly awesome deal - and even then you are still probably upside down. But you have to pay to play, lol, and if you end up in the car you want - and you can afford it, it will put a smile on your face.

I know the feeling - I was not even in the market, I went shopping with my brother in November for HIM to buy TRUCKS. I was visiting himin WI. Fell in love immediately with the 50th 2ss convertible they had on the lot. That was a Tuesday, flew home the next day and on Friday bought mine here on the East coast. Point is that I walked by several "better" deals, to include several 2016's at 20% off, and a C7 vette that was lower than the 50th Camaro. But I had to have that 50th 2SS Vert!

Best of luck to you in whatever you decide. All the best!

I'm still trying to understand how you ended up NOT getting an SS in the first place?

Dude, I know how that goes. I was pretty set on a hyper blue, and then I saw a 50th in person. I told my dealer what I wanted and made him go find one for me.

If it were me, I would look for a low mileage used SS and save the cost of 1st year depreciation. I have done that and always asked for a "certified" car which actually gives you a better warranty than the original. You will still lose some, but I think this approach would save you some.
