Question Lease rate 2017

Hey, first post for me but soon going to be part of the camaro community.

I am still deciding between the 1LE and 2SS but I'm leaning more towards the 1LE currently.

I live in California and I got a deal with $5000 down, $429 a month for a gray 2SS. I'm still looking for 1LE deals but I wanted to compare if that's a good price or not?

It's 36 months, 12k miles a year, and I wanted lower monthly payments which is why I'm putting 5k down.

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

In order to properly evaluate the lease we wold need the following details.

MSRP
Discount
Rebates on top of discount
Sale Price
Money Factor
Residual value
Break down of the drive offs.

Only then one can analyse a lease and offer opinion on it.

You might want to look on www.leasehackr.com forum and post your deal there, really amazing group of people on there.

Well I talked to a leasing broker, that's what they call themselves, he eliminates dealer fees and finds me the best deals.
I asked him for a gray 2ss and he came back with that offer. I'll make sure when to ask him about the details next time I'm in contact with him. He gets deals around LA/San Diego

Thanks for sharing the forums aswell!

Brokers can be great, however they make money on your deal, either through charging you, taking money out of the car from the dealer or both.

There is nothing wrong with that and they can save a lot of stress and be convenient.

HOWEVER they do not offer the best deals, there is no magic wand with car buying. There is a bottom line the dealer can go to before they actually lose money of the deal. They need to give the broker money, that is money that comes out of the profit from the car, money which could be more discount for you.

That's a lot of money down for a lease. You are basically renting the car. It's not yours. Save the 5k.
