Reverse Lights On w/FOB Lock at Night

Is this normal? The rear white reverse lights come on when you lock the car from the FOB at night? What's the reason or is something messed up on mine?

If you have it programmed to turn on lights the idea is to light up the car for exiting. It's normal.

Just had to crack the manual. Had no idea it was called "exit lighting" (but makes sense I gues) and found it.

I always hated that feature on GM cars, I'd never be sure if they were backing out of their parking spot or not. I turned it off out of courtesy.

I don think the 1ss has the option to turn it off but it makes me want to add LED reverse bulbs every time I see those yellow lights lol, I normally hit unlock and then lock again and it will make those lights go away. The yellow lights make the car look really old to me.

Do it! It looks soooooooooo much better and it's an easy and inexpensive mod!
