I was on the Chevy.com build site and the GG tax for an A10 is now listed as $2,100.....

Fuel Mileage is as listed for the A10's......

Wtf? Is that to make up for the initial ones they forgot to charge ? Makes zero sense. Should be better on gas than the M6...

Confused....the A10 option has been $1500+/- addy all along.

Wouldn't the GG Tax be $800 for the A10 vs. $1300 for the M6??

It shows $2,100 ($800 more than the M6) for the A10, not sure why probably MPG rating is worse.

Cost of the transmission itself isn't directly related to the cost of the GG tax.

The Gen 5 auto was $2600, you guys are getting a deal. I doubt the MPG is better on the auto.

Apparently the statement about the A10 not having AFM is true. Also, GM must've spent more time and effort calibrating the A10 for performance than fuel mileage. Guess that's why there's been no mention of an eco mode. All I've heard about the auto's efficiency is that it will supposedly skip gears when cruising and something about the clutches. Other than having to pay a rediculous tax, I'm fine with that. I'd rather the car perform than get 30mpg, even though that would've been nice too.

The dealer does not have the invoice yet..... the invoice will include the correct tax.... so likley not....

The GG is a tax...... not included in the MSRP......

I'm not surprised. I agree that the automatic is all about performance rather than fuel economy. If the GG tax showed $1300 when you ordered the car, you will have to pay whatever the tax is when you take delivery. As most have mentioned, it's a tax and we all know they are inescapable. The dealer has no control over that. Maybe try to negotiate MSRP to make up the difference, just don't tell them that

It's interesting that the CTS-V with the old 8spd mactched to the same LT4 in the ZL1 only has a $1000 gas guzzler tax
