Used 26mi 2017 2SS for 38,995 deal or no deal?

The Car-fax is clean but there is no information on how it got to auction. There is two years left on the warranty. Is this someone's lemon? What are your thoughts on buying something like this?

I would think there's plenty of room to negotiate - check this one out from a private seller not far away at $33k....

I have no idea why the prices on the 16s are still so high..You would think they would want to price it to make room for the 17s and soon to be 18s...I have a local 16 2ss manual but they have it only $1000 off the 42k msrp..How the hell do they think they will sell this car at this price...I'm just patiently waiting for the 20% tag and on top of that I can use 3k of GM card rewards ..

I'm impatiently waiting as well. I want a 1LE but would take a new 2016 2SS for 33k. Like you said, they are pricing them as though they are 2017's. I've got my fishing lure in the water and will set the hook once the pricing is good.

There aren't that many new 2016s left now.. If it's on the lot, the dealers basically didn't/don't want to play ball and drop the price.

The one I am watching is 5 grand off right now but is still priced above what I can get a 2017 1SS 1LE for. Once the price drops I am going to offer a low but fair price. If they bite then It's a done deal. If not, I'll hold out for deals on the 17's in Aug/Oct. If not, then an 18 in Dec.

Dealer pricing is very strange right now - some dealers are wanting to get old inventory off the lot and some seem to be stuck in a time warp. My son has been looking at a Fifty 2SS vert in Dover, DE that's gone up and down and back up. I'd be interested but it's not got MRC and I'm really thinking about waiting until the end of this year and going ZL1 but in a coupe.

I know the store / car. I thought that car had MRC? Only difference between it and a ZL1 was the supercharger from what I remember. Maybe I'm wrong.

In August GM had 4k off stick for 2016 SS's... but I don't think they will ever drop to 20% off, that just sounds like too much. The 2017's is just a carry over from the 2016's right? But I was told that the 2017 are just a bit lighter too 60 pounds...

If GMC red tagged them at 20% before they may do it again. The last dealership I spoke with said that GM can set the incentives individually by car. I would be amazed if they micromanaged dealer inventory on that level though.
