...but for the seats

I have been turning the thought over in my mind of purchasing a base Camaro for some time but it is the seats that prevent me from committing to the purchase, specifically their abbreviated recline angle. For the person who occasionally likes to nap in their car the gen6 Camaro doesn't offer a very accommodating cabin for doing so. I estimate the Camaro front seat recline to 130 degrees; not quite enough to encourage sleep. I regret this because the Camaro is otherwise a very fine automobile (it even has enough legroom). Which leaves the V6 Mustang, for: a sleeper for sleepers, heritage, stance, reasonable fuel economy; against: interior somewhat of a mishmash, longish hood, striking design attracts too much attention.

There you have it, if the Camaro's seat reclined ~15 degrees more I would certainly buy it, but as it stands my money favors the Mustang.

but being serious for a second... I like to do some fairly long haul in my cars... I will be changing the seats but I will prob just just up a sleeping bag in the pass thru and get a good sleep...

then again I'm going with a rear seat delete so my area might be a little more comfy...

Hey, thanks for that. I didn't realize my car was so inferior.

Uhm why would you bother to come on this forum to tell us you don't want to buy this car? Why not just go post on the stang forums how great the car is.

This car is too exciting to sleep in. Mustang is probably your best choice. Lol

On a serious note tho you can search the forums, the stop point is easy to drill out and allows full recline (at least until you hit the rear seat) if I'm not mistaken

Wow what's with being so harsh towards the guy. You guys are going to get mad cause he currently leaning towards a v6 mustang over a v6 camaro? Jeez I hope you guys don't lose any sleep over it. He didn't even say the mustang is better or why he liked it. He simply said he can't sleep in the camaro so he's leaning towards the mustang.

Now if you want to complain that he's buying a car like this to sleep in it, that's a different point. I never knew that a seat reclining not far back enough was a deal breaker in a sports car lol. But don't start telling the man to get a truck or a rv lol that was funny. I want to convince myself that he went through all those options before making an account here and posting. So I'm assuming he really wants the sports car, but maybe drives a lot and requires to pull over and sleep.

My advice: if the v8 is too expensive/worse on gas for the long rides, I say don't get the v6 at all, mustang or camaro. There's so many cars nowadays with the similar power as a v6 camaro or mustang, but bigger, more comfortable. So you can have your naps, more storage space, better seats, same acceleration. And stay under the radar

I have serious issues giving drill privileges to someone who misuses the plural pronoun "their" and forgets an "m" in "accommodating."
