Magnetic ride

Got a little over 1000 miles on my 2SS w/MRC and I notice a good bit of choppiness on city roads, even in Tour mode. Feels like a 1970's pickup compared to my escalade. Was hoping it would be smoother since these cars are running Gen3 MRC. Anyone tried swapping out the runflats for a smoother ride?

I did on my Vette and it made a huge difference but I have not on this car yet. Funny my MRC feels very smooth

I live in New York City (pothole city) and leave mine in tour mode for the suspension 24-7. Yes for sure the stock tires ride a bit rough. I heard many that changed them out and don't look back. I have some all seasons DWS06's i hear are great and ride smoother. Just haven't had a chance to get them installed.

Swapped my run flats and car rides much better, and quieter too. My MRC is great.

Yes you are right the OEM Goodyear Eagle Runflats aren't rated high in comfort. Those DWS06's are rated much higher for comfort but of course are A/S (I can hear the track guys cringe at the thought). PS2 summer are $$ but seem to have the best ride quality

This doesn't sound right. i would try toggling through the MRC modes and see if you notice changes in the ride. On my 2ss, tour mode is obviously the smoothest.

Dont think your the only one camaroalltheway, im in the same boat as you. I just put 500 miles on mine and i feel no difference in any setting i put it in. Everything feels super stiff. Makes me feel like i just threw away $1700. And im in nyc, just like what keon718nyc said pothole city. Im hoping when i bring her in to the dealer for the 1,500 mile break in oil change, that theyll do a reflash and see if that changes anything.

So why are we comparing a Camaro to an Escalade? Your Escalade rides like a truck compared to a Rolls too.

Have you checked suspension mode in the vehicle settings menu? It can be set independently of the drive mode selector.

One has Gen 2 MRC(2013) and the other (2SS) has Gen 3 MRC. My thought process was that perhaps in the latest gen MRC they improved ride quality too as Gen 3 has 2 coils instead of just a single. Make sense?

I wasn't expecting Cadillac smooth with the MRC when I got mine, Because it is after all a sports car (bordering muscle) with 20" wheels and rubber band run flat tires.

But for normal every day driving the difference in the modes is very minor, I know of a lane on the highway that is pretty beat up due to all the big rigs (65MPH speed limit... so 70-80MPH usually [I680]). The other night I decided to try out the MRC modes to see if I can feel the difference because Touring is still pretty firm.

And sure enough, It went from feeling many of the bumps and pot holes to feeling every single bump, pot hole and crack on the road. It made a noticeable difference but if you were expecting Cadillac and Lincoln soft and floaty this isn't the car.

I notice a big difference between Track and Sport, but it is hard for me to tell the difference between Sport and Tour.
