Different Tire Sizes
I think the Supercar tires on our 1LE's will be really good, but if you go with something else on stock wheels like Bridgestone RE71R, they only come in different diameter 285/35/20 or 295/30/20.
Just wondering how much that will mess up the traction control, PTM ,etc. |

If it is anything like the staggered setup on the C6 and newer Corvettes, as long as you stayed with in 1" or less of the difference in tire heights you were fine. The ABS and TC worked just fine.
When I replaced the tires on my corvette I went wider on the front and rear and had zero issues at all. |

Hi folks, long time lurker here. Noticed that you were looking into different tire sizes at about the same time I was, and decided to create an account just so I could link you this nifty tool I found awhile back. Here you go:
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html By the way, for anyone else who is interested, the overall diameter of the stock 18" tires is almost exactly the same as the stock 20" ones. |

GM uses the same over all height for most of the tires in a model. On the trucks for the 17", 18", 20" and 22" wheel options they all use the same tire height in the computer. This saves GM from having to write a different calibration for every wheel/tire option they offer with in a vehicle line. |
