ZL1 Addons Rock Guards

Anyone have these on and have pictures? Would love to see a full body shot with these on..

Just see the small pictures and can't get an idea of how they look with the front/rear installed.

I need it man, got a rock chip on the rear panel! John from ZL1 is going to be working on a new one which is a bit thicker but will be 1-2 months before ready :(

I might just order these soon. Coupon code "forum" for 10% off isn't too bad

Why not go with the GM Camaro splash guards. IMHO they look better, are body color, should serve the same function and blend nicely instead of looking something like mud flaps. Just my opinion and i will admit i have yet to see a decent picture of the ZL1 guards.....

I have them sitting in my garage, I get my car from the paint shop tomorrow so I'll pop them on as soon as I get the car back and i'll post pictures if no one does by then.

They're $50 (i didn't know we had a coupon code) as opposed to $250 for the OEM's, For me they're going to be temporary until 30 days pass and I can get the quarter panels clear bra'd again...

Which is also something I'd recommend to keep from getting rock chips... I had my entire front end and high impact areas clear bra'd (bumper, headlights, entire hood, full fenders, rocker panels, A-pillars, mirrors, 12" roof strip and quarter panels) and it was $1900 for Xpel Ultimate. Without it, Your front bumper is going to start getting very spotty with our thin paint.

cool and I just contacted my clear bra guy to see if he can cover the lower portion of the quarter panel. Too bad the damage has been done lol

They're kinda ugly... definitely only a temporary fix until I can get the clear bra applied. I also had the issue where the double sided tape didn't line up with the fender so on the driver side you can see the adhesive.

Didn't even bother putting on the rear... the fronts will do temporarily

Do the zl1 addons require any drilling or does it use factory holes

Rear uses existing holes. Front is 3M tape.

I just put the deluxe ZL1 guards on my car. They went on pretty easy but the tape on the front guards was not lined up the greatest on the bottom and sticks out a little. We'll see how it loooks once it gets dirty and I'll probably retape them. This is kinda a bummer but they definitely look like they'll do the job. My 1/4 panels were getting thrashed from track days so these were definitely needed.

Will these except paint to match to car color without crack and peeling?

I had them on my 1LE. They are a PAIN in the ass to keep from vibrating and making noise because the design is for shit. I had to 3m sticky tape them. (the front ones) down in the mid section of them because they would vibrate and make noise while driving. Threw them in the garbage after a few weeks.
