Not satisfied with Corsa XTreme Axleback
I had secondary cat deletes, and like everyone says that's really all you need. It makes the car sound great, the NPP is already a good system. I don't know why I thought the Corsas would make a huge difference, I was really hoping it would be louder. The name "XTREME" just really sold me, now I'm -$1500 with the install and everything. Not to mention I'll probably have to bring the camaro back in for like an XPIPE or something to try and get more noise out of this system. Any advice? Anybody agree with me? Personally if I could go back I would spend my money elsewhere.

Do you have headers? And maybe drop out the factory cats for high flow or even just get rid of them entirely. The less junk in the path the louder your system will be. I personally have the NPP system and I plan on getting long tubes and high flows and leaving everything else factory.

I have to keep it under warranty, so I can basically do everything but touch the cats. I'm not friendly with my chevy dealership's service manager just yet.

What didn't you like about it exactly? Mine is being delivered today but I have a non npp car so it sounds like a Prius right now. Also having heard the borla system before and after the x pipe it did make a difference in sound.

Well deleting the secondary cats will put you in a gray area so to speak. To be warranty friendly, the mods will have to be after the secondary cats.
I'm really surprised by this, I would think the Corsa Extremes are the loudest of them all. Is it raspy? So deleting your 2nd cats with Corsa's and it's still not loud enough? that's nuts. Any sound clips? You might be the first person with a 16 SS to have Corsa. |

I'll record some clips later today, also what may not be loud enough for me may be too loud for someone else. It changes the sound so it has a much deeper and aggressive tone, but I was just expecting it to backfire louder/more frequently compared to the NPP as well as being significantly louder. The crackling is about the same. I have a video on my insta (luca2ss) that shows the NPP backfiring pretty loud with just 2nd cat delete.

I'm running the Corsa Sport on my car. The tone definitely changed for the better. I also installed the Flowmaster X pipe at the same time, and there is a definite reduction is rasp and popping, which I love. But I agree overall volume isn't louder, but certainly deeper.

I have the Corsa Xtreme and I love the sound. My car didn't have NPP but I did drive a car that had NPP. I think NPP sounds great as a factory option, but I think the Corsa sounds better in every regard--more refined, louder, not as raspy. Everyone has different taste, but this is my 6th vehicle with a Corsa. I think they are the best hands down.

I have the extreme and think it sounds perfect. If pure volume is that important no mufflers at all would be your best bet but I would think you would sacrifice some tone.

On the exhaust side being honest in my personal opinion the 5th gens and Mustangs (V8's) sounds so much better that our 6g's. I do miss how my 13 5g and 2012 ctsv wagon sounded (cammed catless headers and full 3 inch exhaust).

Our cars sounds ok but not as menacing or badass as the ls's or Mustangs in general. Hell even the new C7z's (exhaust wise) are not as impressive or rumbly as the C6 ls vettes.
