Gauges and/or Gauage Pod... who's got them?

Has anyone installed gauges? Is there an A-pillar POD available?

Let's see some pics of what you have installed.

I'd love to see what some members come up with. I need a clean way to mount a boost gauge.

Why a boost gauge?

I have a 17 1LT turbo. Here it doesn't come with a factory boost gauge. I'm either going to go with a aftermarket gauge or keep hoping for something in the AppShop.

If it was a 5th Gen the ZL1 gauge cluster would probably work.

I just use DashCommand on my phone since it actually logs the data from the gauges.

That's a good way to go but I already have HP Tuners for logging and all parameters. Just want something on my A-pillar primarily for IAT2 and Wideband O2.

Oh I gotcha...yeah there actually are a few things that you need to add sensors for that won't through the OBDII port.

Even if I have to use the OBD port that's fine for normal day to day driving. Then swap over to laptop for the track. But leaving it open would be best.

I guess it will be a while before aftermarket catches up and makes the A-pilar POD.

Yeah and actually some stuff is fine coming from that port and going into an app, but other things aren't. Sometimes you get some spikes or anomalies, so everything can't really be trusted if you need to make decisions off the data. I use it more for fun or to see changes (compare before and after).

I was off from work yesterday and popped over to Jannetty's and asked about this. I'm pretty sure that there are gauges and sensors out there we can use. They'd need to be wired in. He didn't think we'd ever see something like a "gen6 Camaro gauge package", but we should be able to use gauges that are already available as long as they can pull data from a sensor. Unfortunately I don't know enough about this to point anyone in the right direction other than asking your local speed shop for a recommendation.

I just received the 2-gauge pod from Aeroforce to house my Aeroforce and AEM CAN wideband. It mounts in place of the left defroster vent and up alongside the OEM gauge cluster. The housing is a semi-crude resin molded piece and fully functional as is, but I think I'll take the time to do some light finish sanding then prime and paint it for a better look. I guess we can't expect a true injection molded part in the volume this piece sells in.

I also ordered the relay output module so I can run an additional fan on the HE with the IAT2 as a trigger.

Will post pics when I get my car back and everything installed.

It'd be nice of there was a P3 guage available for the Gen 6.
Make the request and if they get enough interest, maybe they'll make one.

If you're not familiar with the P3. It uses an OBD2 reader and has the capability to support analog sensors too. It mounts in the stock air vent.

Here's the Gen5 one.
