Future GM parts

I had a 5th gen v6 and never realized how many parts gm offered for the v8. That being said has there been any word on if some high performance non suspension parts are going to be available? And if so, a rough timeline.
I checked out what they offered for the gen5 and I would definitely do the head and cam package.

You can find LT engine parts in the 2017 Chevrolet Performance Catalog.

Thank you!
Any clue what the gain is on those heads?
When I look I'll in the camaro section of the catalog I don't see them listed, does that mean we cannot use them?

If adding these will keep the powertrain warranty intact count me in!!! I'm sure it will be overpriced but it will be worth it to keep the warranty.

Also I'm pretty sure I heard a quote from Sema saying the heads and cam package would get it to around 520-530 at the crank.

I'm fairly sure that the fact that GM don't offer a tune is their way of sidestepping the warranty issue. You have no choice but to go aftermarket for the tune and therefore you have just voided the warranty on your engine

I would be delighted to be wrong on that fact, as that sounds really appealing to me!!!!

Does it specifically say on the warranty page that it is/is not covered? And would it be different for Auto/Manual since it doesn't have AFM?!?

Called my Chevy dealer and they said the package would void the car's warantee and costs $2,718.75 for just the parts.
That was a short lived dream :(

Update:
Called another dealer and they said it would keep the warantee.

I'm trying to figure out an install price and if it is reasonable I'll probably pull the trigger if warantee is still there.

If no one else knows for sure I'll let everyone know what I find out.

My traction issues might be about to get much worse!

What's the point in offering a factory package that voids the warranty?!?! Makes no sense...

Ford and Chevy offer a lot of performance parts for racing etc that are not warrantied - they are trying to cater to the AutoX and SCCA crowd. That's fine as long as you know what you are getting into

If a "calibration" aka "tune" is not available from GM, that means that it will cause issues with the powertrain warranty, to say nothing of raising hell with emissions testing.

So far the only real "performance parts" that have been offered by FCA, GM or Ford that doesn't completely nuke the powertrain warranty is the Ford "Power Packs" offered for the 2015-2017 Mustang GT's.
