Exhaust ?

Is there a difference in buying an expensive exhaust that is only basically a muffler delete that alot of companies have out now or just doing a muffler delete and straight piping it?

I too have thoroughly investigated this issue man and exhaust for these cars is insane to say the very least. I too have (had) npp with the fuse pull but it was too quiet for me. Mbrp hws the least expensive true catback (race edition) and it sounds fairly aggressive imo. If I wouldn't get that I was going to go to an exhaust shop and do a 3" straight pipe all the way back with muffler delete. Numbers don't really make a difference in exhaust, it's more less about sound.

The issue will be drone and tone of the sound.

But what's the difference when you have companies offering basically a muffler delete kit costing sound 500.00 vs deleting ourselves and spending 200.00 to replace the mufflers with straight pipe. Will there be the same drone on both systems?

AGREE, however for me the American thunder axleback is INSANE!!!!! for dual mode Npp. COST A LOT only downfall. But right now is my go to. Waiting to hear the SLP loudmouth coming out

I'd honestly keep NPP if you have it. Pull the fuse to keep it open and it sounds great.

Deleting the cat/muffler makes it super loud at WOT but lacks the rumble and depth.

No way am I spending over a 1.5k just for sound unless it comes with 27 hp!

Get Flowmaster Outlaws or Super 10s, install a j-pipe to cut the drone a bit and call it the day. It will also be NPP compatible with zero drone on tour/stealth

Killabee, when you bought ur car you didn't have the red Paint on your rims, did you paint it on after?? Looks sick!!!

I purposely didn't order the NPP dual mode exhaust because I knew I'd want it louder and that compatible kits would be crazy expensive. I bought a Jones 3" X-pipe, 3x6" flex pipes, single chamber mufflers, and 4" double wall tips (all parts stainless steel). With having a custom shop install it with stainless steel 3" pipe, my total cost was around $725 (that's from the cats back). The car is definitely louder, the chambered mufflers give a much deeper tone as usual, and I have not experienced any drone at all. Honestly I still think the my car could be louder. I'm thinking about swapping out to Dynomax bullets.

I think I'll go Borla eventually. Retaining NPP is important for me.
