Believe me somebody will pay it. People all the time get inheritances, strike it rich through accident litigation, And just want something flashy. Not everybody is a forum member.

Dude, of course people pay that...and a lot more. Money is not to some as it is for most. In my opinion, that aint even that bad. We will see worse, just wait.

Idiots. Gougers.. Dealers like that who take advantage of the weak should lose their dealership. Just saying. I would never pay $1 over MSRP!!

If you ask a high price and someone comes along and pays it that doesn't make you evil. It would if there was a monopoly and the customer had no choice. This is just the market at work. I see some wishful thinking here but no one is taking advantage of anyone.

When I was a general manager of a Porsche dealership, we had a guy fly in from Dubai and was happy to pay 50 grand over the sticker for a 959 ......For his house in Los Angeles. We had the only one on the East Coast. |

If people would quit buying those marked up and do a little research then the stealerships will stop doing it. But of course there is always those people that have to have it now and don't shop around which messes it all up for everyone else.

I don't know how all the laws work, but I wonder if GM could tell a dealership if you sell a ZL1 for over MSRP then we won't give you another allocation? I doubt there will be a lot of markups since GM plans to make a lot of ZL1's, but it would be nice if GM or Ford could do something like that. I don't know if they care enough to do so, but after watching what is happening with the GT350 and how frustrated people are getting at Ford (on the Mustang6g forum anyways), It appears that it is hurting their image and I would think they would want to do something about it.

Totally illegal for GM to tell a dealer what to sell for, or change policy to hurt him for doing so. That's why it's known and mfrs SUGGESTED retail price (MSRP) |

What they can do is deny allocations to any dealer charging ADM's. They may not be able to regulate pricing directly, but they can twist the dealers arm and pinch them to the point that they stop. |
