Gains with Roto-fab.
I tested the Dry filter today with the box sealed up as designed. I was impressed with the gains. No matter how you slice it, I got an average gain of 13/15rw with the fuel staying the same. The data matches up to the numbers. It was double checked against other cars data with the same numbers. We will see what I get at the track tomorrow. I think my gains were higher than normal due me porting my Int/TB and the gains I saw with those. I would say that and average of 6-10rw should be expected with the ability that most people have to regulate dyno data and stock cars or programming.

I will get some track logs tomorrow for a more realistic street view of what is going on. I really want to see if my Dyn/Cyl goes up and my MAP KPA goes down to what I was seeing on the dyno today. If the MAP stays up and the Dyn/Cyl takes another uptick then this thing is doing its job in the real world. I will have the WB hooked up as well. Should be interesting to see what the logs say at speed.

Wow impressive combo/gains, time for E85. Can't wait to see the improvement at the track.

Why would you see a gain below 3k rpm where flows are relatively low? That doesn't make sense to me.

Pray,
I know that you initially tuned the car before putting the ported intake and TB on, was there any retuning done afterwards. Also was there any retuning done after installing the CAI? I like many others want to retain the factory warranty for at least the first 10-15k miles. Since my car is not a daily driver, that may take me 3 years or so see. The ported intake, TB, and CAI (along with cat back which I have already) are very enticing, since you are seeing gains. However, how are these things (in your opinion) going to do together on a stock tune?

Possibly because my air demand is already higher than stock. Possibly because there is more air available from the RF just by sheer size and volume of the tube. Air is a slinky and volume does matter at TB opening. Same goes for heads. Larger runners store more air behind the closed intake valve. As soon as the valve cracks there is more air present to fill the cylinder. This makes more power from the hit. From what I have seen, more air at any point makes more power. Same thing happened when I swapped my ported int/tb. My gains were from beginning to end.

On my car I have seen a gain of 30/33rw over the stock tuned base line with just my ported stock Intake Manifold, ported stock TB and the Roto-fab with the Dry filter.

Looks to me the tune and porting had more to do with gains than the CAI. Hard to understand why you titled this thread as "Gains with Roto-fab"... Good info on the other mods though!

Sorry if the post is confusing. The test and gains posted in the graph above were with only swapping the Roto-fab. Car was previously tuned and the int/TB testing had already been done. The int/tb/tune are the base line numbers in the graph.

E85 is next but it will only be for testing. No stations near me to make it at all worth it.
