ACS 1le Splitter vs RPI GM replica splitter

I've been browsing around for a kit as of late and was almost deadset on RPI GM replica splitter. Then I noticed it was made of fiber glass vs ACS 1le splitter that was made of Abs plastic. There is a significant price difference between the two and wasn't sure if anyone knew the difference between the two types of materials and which would be recommended.

Abs plastic is very flexible and won't crack as easy as fiberglass. If you curb abs plastic you can smooth it out with sand paper. Fiberglass will just break. I would do the abs unless your confident you'll never hit anything.

Acs is a composite company. Their stuff should be made of a fiberglass like material as well.

That's your opinion. ACS actually manufacture the 1LE splitter in ABS plastic.

Not really an opinion, just a thought considering almost all their products are out of said material.

If the new splitter is abs. So be it.

No need to get your panties in a bunch

Well all in all from what I'm gathering is that for the extra hundred or so dollars, abs plastic is a better option than fiber glass.

Here's a close up of my ACS splinter. I had it painted black.

I agree. The last composite rockers I hard, I had a cracking problem over time. I personally would rather see abs or abs poly style addition.

Well now I'll wait and see if they do a thanksgiving sale because $2000 for their kit is about unreal!
