What are these things and should they be installed

Found these in the trunk of my 2016? A couple are strut covers and I am not sure on the other pieces. What are they and should they be installed? Should the strut covers be installed?

The tow hook mounts through a pop out panel on the front grille if you need your car towed up onto a rollback flat bed wrecker (the only kind of wrecker you should accept and make sure the tow hook is used). The other two long and narrow black plastic parts look like the air deflectors that mount below the front bumper in front of each front tire. All the parts except the tow hook should have been installed by your dealer as part of the delivery prep.

Are those the deflectors and brake ducts for track use?

Guess I best put the tow hook back in the car. Thanks!

This is incorrect. None of the parts should have been installed. The air deflectors are for track use only, and not meant to be installed for daily driving. The air deflectors replace the ones installed from the factory. The track ones hang down low very close to the ground, and would be scraped up/broken off during daily driving.

The tow hook screws in to the front bumper, as has already been explained.

I do believe those should have been installed by the dealer (not the tow hook). They were on mine. There are other parts (track deflectors) that should only be installed if you are going to track the car. See these threads:

This is from a search - whole $hitload of info.

And you know this how? Do you own a gen 6? I do and all those parts belong on the car except the tow hook which stays in its spot in the trunk until you need it. Those plastic parts are not the track parts.

I'm always amazed about people who give you advice on cars they have not or do not own.

Did you have a splitter installed? If so, those parts had to be removed from the bottom of the front bumper cover for the splitter to fit properly

Seems like a lot of us found surprises in the trunk when we got home. Looks like our dealers could've been a bit more helpful.

The items in the first pic should be on your car whether you track it or not.
