Ontario Camaro Club

My wife and I joined the Ontario Camaro Club and went to our first meeting last Saturday.

They are a great bunch of people and are looking for some new members.

The club is in the process of putting together their 2017 events calendar and are going to be celebrating the 50th edition.

If you are interested give me a shout or stay tuned for their updated website coming soon.

Safe driving and happy motoring see you on the road.

Mike

Let me preface by saying this; the Ontario Camaro Club ppl seem like really nice folks.
Scrape and I went to the Nationals in Oakville, last June, about a month and a half, before I got my car.
Everyone was nice, and the event, including the reveal of the ZL1 was very well-run and organized.

I understand that the folks running the club and website are doing so, in their spare time, on a volunteer basis....

I am glad to hear that they'll be updating their site; We're in an e-world these days, and their website needs some help.

It as if they had help, and then the majority of the help went away after 2014....

Examples:

- Homepage: perhaps insert some current Camaro links or info-ZL1 data, Sales info., 50th reveals and pics, Camaros at an event like Woodward, etc.
- Members cars: There are no 6th gen cars. Even if there are no 6th gen members (find that hard to believe), still create a category, and show a pic or two of the latest Camaro that is on sale today
- Photo Albums: it lists albums from 2012-2014. I know that this yr alone, they've had events like the Nationals; a show/shine at Budd's, plus a cruise in Sept. Why not show some recent pics?
- Presidents Cruise: Again, an event from 2014 only; If there is no "new" President's Cruise happening, why not state "please check back for info re our next President's Cruise"?

I'm not trying to sh!t on them, but in-order to entice more/new members, they need to try to show them "why" it would be beneficial to join.

Again, they all seem like great folks, I'm just stating the issues that I see with their website alone; which is the main thing that ppl flock to, when looking for info about any business, group, organization, etc.
As the website is key, there's a need for some attn.

With a URL of: "camaro.ssiparked.com/wp/", even that seems a little off.

Just my opinion....

I will look to attend more of their events, and support them by buying any relevant merchandise, etc. However, I'm just not sure that being a paid member has any advantages at the moment.

Please let us know when their '17 Events will be listed, and the website gets the update!

Cheers.

I agree with everything you said, especially about the outdated website.
Hope for good things to come in 2017!
