Didn't Get Magnetic Ride Control

First time here. Thanks for your advice in advance. I have a 2016 2SS Automatic in Summit White. I'm feeling like MRC is the one thing I'd go back and get if I could. I've read it can't be installed after the fact and trading in for a 2SS that has it installed already would be like GM essentially raping me and my bank account. So what type of suspension upgrades could I add to give me that smoother ride all the time even on rougher roads?

My current tires are the ones that came with the car, Goodyear Eagle 1 Run-flats. I've heard that changing those out will make a big difference as well. Any suggestions on tires and also new rims?

Thanks.

Thanks. Can you send me some links so I can do some research on what you're talking about?

The MRC option is amazing. Sway bars are a safe (won't harm your ride) way to improve handling/body roll. But IMO any lowering springs will have a higher spring rate and result in a less compliant ride. Likewise with alot of the stiffer bushings and stronger trailing arms, toe rods etc...

Shop selectively and keep your priorities in mind when buying. Different tires can make a big difference. Michelins (even the SuperSports) are usually good riding and excellent handling tires in my experience.

I didn't get it either. I wanted it, just got impatient and stupid. I didn't get the exhaust option either. I love my car, but the lack of these two options has got me strongly considering (among other reasons) trading for the 2018 ZL1.

That's my reasoning/justification anyway :-)

We offer a full line of suspension components for these cars. We offer a 1" lowering spring that does not compromise ride quality while improving handling and feel. We also have upgraded sway bars, chassis braces and other components to help tighten up some of the slop that the factory suspension provides. Check out our website and feel free to give me a call or shoot me a PM and we can discuss what parts may be right for you

you asked what you can do to get a smoother ride - and literally everyone is telling you how to stiffen it up. WTF.

Taller sidewall tires without runflat sidewalls would likely be smoother.

You might want to clarify your goals both for me and everyone else - as there seems to be a disconnect.

I think saying "smoother ride" was pretty clear. So, you're saying if I've got 40 in the front and 35 in the rear, I should try to move up to 45 in the front and 40 in the rear? How about going from a 245 to 255 front and a 275 to 285 rear?

I'm looking into Michelin Pilot Super Sports, which I hear are quite good.

Thanks.

Yah, I thought so, too.

I just put on pilot super sports - and lowering springs.

Pilot super sports are in my opinion much smoother and more supple than the goodyear eagles.

Talk to a tire and wheel guy - but I'd also think going with a smaller diameter wheel and larger profile tire (like a 40 or so) would also be a softer ride.

Pilot super sports arent run flat- so think about a can of fix a flat.
