Anyone installed one of these? If so, what is involved and is it worth the $. Found threads about the M6 shifter replacement but nothing on the auto.

EDIT: November 28 - installed one last night. Photos further down the thread.

Supposedly, they were shipping them around the time I wrote the original post. End of September.

That being the case, maybe now someone will install one. I hate to be the guinea pig.

Also really hard to tell the quality from the photos.

The stock auto shifter feels a bit delicate in my hands. Keep thinking I'm gonna break it.

Since no one else wanted to be the guinea pig, I bit the bullet. Installed it last night after watching football all day. Can't believe it went without a hitch.

Anyway. Feels good in my hand. Solid and well made. Heavier than the stock knob.

Didn't take step by step photos since it comes with illustrated instructions but here are some taken after install.

Should have taken a photo of the shifter while it was still in the box but I forgot. Box contained the shifter, a set screw, a zip tie, instructions and 2 Hurst decals.
